要は、今の若者は社会に対してもっと怒れと「師匠」はおっしゃっているのである。社説世代のおじさんの悪いクセは、若かりし頃の学生運動とかの思い出にうっとりしてしまうこと、いや、なんなら「オレは今も権力と闘っている」という悦にひたってしまうことだ。

それは誤解だ。社会は変わらなかった。おじさんは何事もなかったように、クラブ活動が終わったかのように、大企業に就職した。そんなおじさんが都合の良い時だけ「尾崎豊」という記号を持ち出して「若いころは俺は闘ったもんだ」と匂わせてみせるのは誠に遺憾である。「俺も昔はよくケンカした」と明らかな大げさを言うアレと同じだ。

きのうラジオでも言ったのだけど、むしろ私は今のハタチぐらいの世代に頼もしさを感じる。おじさんたちは「権力」だとか「国」だとか「右」とか「左」とかに拘泥するが、たとえば石川遼などはそんな「しがらみ」がスコンと抜けている気がする。
